Monitoring Locations

Adelaide Brighton Cement monitors particulate matter at two locations within the community, which are to the west of the plant:

• Community Park
• Gunn Street

These monitors, located in close proximity to the Adelaide Brighton Cement plant, measure the level of particulate matter in the environment from a range of activities including Adelaide Brighton Cement, motor vehicles on Victoria Road and industrial, domestic and natural sources within the region.

The closest Environment Protection Authority (EPA) monitor is Le Fevre 1, located within the grounds of the Le Fevre Peninsula Primary School, approximately 1 kilometre to the southwest of the plant. Air quality data from other EPA monitoring stations in Adelaide can also be found on the EPA website.
